Liquor industry is a fast growing and highly competitive segment with new products hitting the market to satisfy consumer’s aspirations. Today, a wide range of Whisky brands are available for every market segment.

The client required a design which was distinct to break the clutter and provide a look and feel commensurate with the positioning of the new brand. Core design was to develop a new bottle style and packaging format. The key challenge was to bring in the strong and authentic heritage of the brand with contemporary and premium positioning, while adding shelf impact.

Consumer research was carried out to gain good insights on behavioral patterns and aspirations. Category codes and connotations were derived out of this research which then translated into product aesthetics. We designed this packaging format and bottle style for Tamasoma to stand taller, with higher shoulders, adding to brand dominance. This also allowed for a higher placement of the brand identity, strongly supporting the shelf visibility. Intricate detailing and wrap around character of the label further enunciate the shoulder line to confirm the premium position of the brand. Smooth blending of surfaces further strengthen the brand to deliver engaging experience.
